Non-freshman Student Housing

Welcome to University Village — Housing for Sophomores and up

Effective immediately, all UT Dallas students who apply for on-campus housing must present written proof of having received the Bacterial Meningitis vaccine.

Prior to residing in on-campus housing, the student must submit evidence of having received the vaccination from an appropriate health practitioner.  In addition, the student must have received the vaccination at least 10 days prior to finalizing move-in and receiving keys to on-campus housing.

To meet this requirement, students may submit the Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination form, signed by a Licensed Care Provider showing proof of this vaccine, to the UT Dallas Housing staff.

Space Availability

When an apartment becomes available, you will be contacted and given a designated time frame in which to respond.  If you do not respond within the designated time frame, we will contact you and give you the option of remaining on the waiting list or canceling your housing application. If we do not hear back from you, you will remain on the waiting list until 30 days after the next semester begins at which time your application will be cancelled and your deposit will be refunded. If you would like to rejoin the waiting list at that time you will be required to submit a new application with all applicable fees.

Certificate of Eligibility Requirements

Prior to signing an agreement for housing in University Village Apartments, students must complete a UT Dallas Certificate of Eligibility form and secure approval from the Office of Residential Life.

To be eligible for a certificate, students must maintain student status each semester they wish to reside at University Village and enroll in and complete the following:

  • Graduate students — 3 class hours of UTD course work each fall and spring semester
  • Undergraduate students — 3 class hours of UTD course work each fall and spring semester
  • All students — enrollment in summer classes is not required

Quad apartments may only be leased by four UT Dallas students.

Residence at University Village Apartments is restricted to UTD students, their spouses and children. All residents, 18 years of age and older, must be signatories on apartment lease agreements. A person who is a non-immigrant and who is on practical training is no longer a student and does not qualify for eligibility to lease.
