Policies for Non-freshman Student Housing University Village

  1. Any possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages at University Village and Waterview Park Apartments must be in compliance with local, state and federal laws and in compliance with rules and regulations of The University of Texas at Dallas. Apartments in which individuals who are under 21 years of age reside are considered dry apartments. Alcohol is prohibited in dry apartments.
  2. The University prohibits the possession or storage of any type of firearm, dangerous weapon, flammable liquid, or explosive device in the apartments, in automobiles, or on other University premises.
  3. Only dogs (under 20 pounds), cats (de-clawed), fish (the size of the tank is limited to 20 gallons), and birds are permitted in the Apartment.
  4. The conduct of a resident and a resident's guests must not disturb the rights, comforts, health, safety, or conveniences of other persons in the apartment community.
  5. Visitation is a privilege granted to residents that allows them to host a guest of either gender. Residents should inform their guests of conduct rules and accompany them within common areas at all times.  Residents are responsible for the consequences of their guests' actions.  Violations of this agreement are subject to University discipline procedures.
  6. At all times, noise at a level that disturbs others is unacceptable.  Residents who fail to respond to requests by other residents or staff for a lower noise level may be subject to disciplinary action by the University and/or eviction by University Village or Waterview Park.
  7. The possession and/or use of any illegal substance on University property or during a University sponsored activity is strictly prohibited.
  8. UT Dallas Parking Decals are required.
  9. Please refer to your lease for addenda and additional policies.
