The office serves as the liaison for Waterview Park, the University’s privately self-managed apartment complex on campus. The office also supervises Student Union staff and Comet Card program staff. In addition, the daily operations of the LEED platinum certified Student Services Building fall under the department.
Housing and Building Operations also oversees all new Student Affairs-related construction and renovation projects on campus.
Housing and Building Operations’ main goals include:
- Providing quality oversight of all housing operations, including University and privately-owned operations.
- Improving housing conditions on campus through intensive, long-range capital planning.
- Delivering quality facilities for UT Dallas students to eat, live and study.
- Offering support to campus departments that are housed in the buildings Housing Operations oversees.
