Annual Enrollment 2009

There are a number of plan changes for the 2009-2010 plan year. Please take a minute to review the plan year changes.

Take a moment to review your Flex election! Now’s your chance to make your election for the new plan year on My UT Benefits(formerly UT Touch) before Annual Enrollment ends July 31, 2009.

This year EOI forms can be submitted electronically through My UT Benefits(formerly UT Touch). If you made a change in My UT Benefits that requires EOI, this is indicated on your confirmation email, Benefits Summary and EOI tab. All EOI forms must be submitted online or postmarked by August 15, 2009.

The UT System Office of Employee Benefits Annual Enrollment period begins July 1st and ends midnight, July 31st. This is your opportunity to review insurance coverage, elect new coverage, make changes to existing coverage, add eligible dependents and make your UT Flex elections for the coming plan year.

My UT Benefits, our on-line enrollment system, is available 24 hours a day. Did you know that 60% of our employees log on during the last two days? Change the trend, log on early! Log-on using your UTD ID and PIN, Benefits ID (BID) and PIN or your SSN and PIN.

Evidence of Insurability EOI is required to enroll in or increase group life insurance. Adding previously eligible dependents to your medical coverage may require completion of an Evidence of Insurability questionnaire.

As part of our continued efforts to provide quality services to The University, we have developed an Annual Enrollment Triage Team. This team will allow you to receive assistance with Annual Enrollment related issues when you are not able to get in touch with your Benefits Representative and would like immediate assistance. To take advantage of this new offering, dial x2221 and ask to speak to a member of the Annual Enrollment Triage Team. The Triage Team service will begin July 1.

We strive to respond to calls and e-mails within one business day throughout most of the year. During our peak periods however, it may take two business days for us to respond. Peak periods include the start and end of each semester and the month of July.
