Summary:
Function & Scope: Will assess, plan and implement programs and educational offerings aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and reducing acute and chronic illness among students. Responsible for the implementation of specific health education programs for students to address and provide for the health and wellness of the UTD student population.
Essential Functions:
Typical Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Plan and implement programming to meet the needs of the university
- Develop and present mandatory programs
- Design advertising and promotional materials on health/wellness
- Coordinate the ordering and distribution of education materials
- Provide individual counseling on health topics

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Nursing, Wellness or related field

Required: Two years of experience in health/wellness programming. Computer skills.

If this is a supervisory position, the incumbent is expected to complete required supervisory training; orient, train and develop subordinates; provide appropriate coaching, guidance and supervision to subordinates; and complete annual performance evaluations.

Responsible for duties as assigned relating to internal controls including safe-guarding of department assets, reliability of department financial information, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
