Summary:
Function & Scope:
Will manage the overall operations for a program in the Student Life organization including supervision, programming, related discipline, departmental mission & budget.
Essential Functions:
Typical Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for meeting University expectations for the mission, goals & budget of the department; supervise assigned coordinators.

Responsible for the assessment of student satisfaction as it relates to specific programs & initiatives.

Oversee and coordinate centralized projects; serve on department & University committees; other duties as assigned.
Marginal Functions:
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervision:
Received: General Supervision: Incumbent develops own ways to effectively perform a variety of duties or performs complex duties within established policy guidelines; responsible for a defined set of assignments, expected to determine and create procedures to set priorities and meet goals.
Given: This position has supervisory responsibility for three classified employees.
Education:
Required: Bachelor's degree
Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree; 3 years experience in the specific functional area, supervisory experience; knowledge of student development theory; knowledge of residential programs, service learning programs, new student, orientation or other student life functional areas.

Ability to work and manage collaboratively; experience with budget preparation & management; advanced written & oral communication skills; innovation & creativity.

Complete required supervisory training; orient, train and develop subordinates; provide appropriate coaching, guidance and supervision to subordinates; and complete annual performance evaluations.

Responsible for duties as assigned relating to internal controls including safe-guarding of department assets, reliability of department financial information, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
Any qualifications to be considered as equivalents, in lieu of stated minimums, require the prior written approval of the Assistant Vice President, Human Resources Management.
