Summary:
Function & Scope: To provide assistance and have significant responsibility in managing student conduct issues, primarily academic dishonesty violations. Investigates and adjudicates student conduct issues. Develops educational materials relating to Student Code of Conduct and counsels and educates the campus on related issues.
Essential Functions:
Typical Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Investigates and adjudicates student conduct cases.
- Arranges hearings when necessary.
- Develops educational materials relating to the Student Code of Conduct and other appropriate regulatory standards.
- Produces reports and analysis regarding student conduct at the University.
- Counsels and educates campus community on issues related to Student Code of Conduct and discipline
- Performs other duties as opportunities develop.
Marginal Functions:
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervision:
Received: Periodic supervision by supervisor
Given: Supervision of less senior persons involved in the regulatory and educational process.
Education:
Required: Master’s Degree
Preferred: N/A
Experience:
Required: Four years experience in higher education. Understanding of student development theory. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred: Two years in judicial affairs. Mediation training experience.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Computer and other office machines
Special Job Requirements (such as hours, accuracy, special equipment and/or working conditions):
Proficiency in all phases of work and attention to detail. Office with frequent on-site and off-site meetings and investigations.

If this is a supervisory position, the incumbent is expected to complete required supervisory training; orient, train and develop subordinates; provide appropriate coaching, guidance and supervision to subordinates; and complete annual performance evaluations.

Responsible for duties as assigned relating to internal controls including safe-guarding of department assets, reliability of department financial information, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
Any qualifications to be considered as equivalents, in lieu of stated minimums, require the prior written approval of the Assistant Vice President, Human Resources Management.
