Summary:
Function & Scope: To assist in and plan, supervise, and coordinate student life programs and activities. Responsible for understanding and interpreting the needs of students to faculty and administration officials, and for interpreting, formulating, and evaluating institutional rules.
Essential Functions:
Typical Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Meets with students and student groups for program development.
- Provides advisory service to student organizations.
- Coordinates special campus programming projects.
- Recommends and assists in the development of new programs.
- Responsible for Special Projects as assigned.
- May assist with student orientation.
Marginal Functions:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Participates in professional conferences and other duties as required.
Supervision:
Received: General supervision and evaluation by the assigned Director.
Given: General instruction to support staff.
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Preferred: N/A
Experience:
Required: Two years experience with college students or adolescents in community groups in an advisory, administrative, or educational capacity. Knowledge of student development and residential life theory and philosophy. Ability to work and manage collaboratively. Special Job Requirements (such as hours, accuracy, special equipment and/or working conditions):
Typical office environment.; occasional to frequent on-site and off-site meetings. May be required to work evening hours.
Other:
If this is a supervisory position, the incumbent is expected to complete required supervisory training; orient, train and develop subordinates; provide appropriate coaching, guidance and supervision to subordinates; and complete annual performance evaluations.

Responsible for duties as assigned relating to internal controls including safe-guarding of department assets, reliability of department financial information, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
