Summary:
Function & Scope: This position requires a high energy, customer service oriented, multi-tasking individual who can balance the responsibilities of recruiting for the Jonsson School, coordinating recruitment events, monitoring account balances, & fielding phone inquiries. The person in this position will plan travel itineraries for staff and visiting students; supervise, manage, train and responsibly delegate duties to a cadre of student staff and need the communication skills to represent the Jonsson School at recruiting events (some evenings and weekends) on and off campus, as well as meeting and providing on campus visitors/prospective students with School information. This person will also be responsible for the completion and submission of travel authorizations and other university forms; working with the copy center, print shop and professional mail services to merge and send recruitment letters; other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Typical Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Represent the School at assigned recruiting events for undergraduate and/or graduate candidates.
- Visit with prospects both on and off campus.
- Initiate/plan activities and set up events on campus.
- Complete/submit travel authorizations, reimbursement forms and other university documents.
- Merge letters from recruitment databases.
- Work with copy center, print shop and professional mail services; coordinate travel arrangements.
- Supervise, manage, train and responsibly delegate duties to student staff.
- Make and receive phone calls pertaining to prospective student questions and events.
- Set up itineraries for visiting students.
- Complete travel authorizations, travel vouchers and other university forms.
- Supervise cadre of student staff.
- Some travel, evening & weekend work.

Received: General Supervision: Incumbent develops own ways to effectively perform a variety of duties or performs complex duties within established policy guidelines; responsible for a defined set of assignments, expected to determine and create procedures to set priorities and meet goals.
Given: Supervise work assignments of student workers.
Education:
Required: Bachelor's degree.
Preferred: Master's degree in related field.
Experience:
Required: Experience in working with the public, using Microsoft office applications and coordinating special events; or an equivalent combination of experience and education
Preferred: Three or more years of experience in an academic recruiting setting. Background in recruiting, supervising, coordinating special events, public speaking experience, in addition to providing clerical support duties for the recruitment team. Bilingual.

If this is a supervisory position, the incumbent is expected to complete required supervisory training; orient, train and develop subordinates; provide appropriate coaching, guidance and supervision to subordinates; and complete annual performance evaluations.

Responsible for duties as assigned relating to internal controls including safe-guarding of department assets, reliability of department financial information, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
