Summary:
Function & Scope: Process all student enrollment applications and documents. Processing of all student enrollment applications and documents in a timely and accurate way using university guidelines for admissions. Supervise employee team and/or manage project; write process and procedures to support the Enrollment Services mission and goals. Create and conduct targeted training.
Essential Functions:
Typical Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage and execute specific projects, and develop reports to assist functional processing. Such projects and reports may involve problem solving, research, and improving processes relative to residency, international credential review, premium application processing, applicant deferments and processing queues in PeopleSoft and/or OnBase.
- Manage and supervise employee team, conduct employee performance reviews, conduct interviews, evaluate and hire new employees. Recommend and develop new processes and procedures for responsible functional areas. Address and resolve employee performance issues.
- Process student applications and documents which involve verifying high volumes of data for accuracy, completeness, and in a timely manner, ; investigates, locates, and matches admission applications with other applicant documents, such as transcripts and test scores. Ensure high level of integrity and ethical behavior in dealing with confidential information for self and employee team.
- Attend required meetings and participate in UTD Enrollment management recruitment events as assigned.
- Participate in various training opportunities to stay current and improve knowledge base of various platforms and policies affecting application processing. Train assigned staff on various procedures, processes, and new technology platforms.
- Work with the admissions office, recruiting, registrar and financial aid when necessary.

Received: General Supervision: Incumbent develops own ways to effectively perform a variety of duties or performs complex duties within established policy guidelines; responsible for a defined set of assignments, expected to determine and create procedures to set priorities and meet goals.
Given: Recommend hiring, determine training needs, plan and assign work, conduct performance evaluations, and handle grievances, disciplinary action and steps leading to recommendation of termination.
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred: Master’s degree.
Experience:
Required: 7 years or more of related work experience; supervisory experience preferred.
Preferred: 5 years or more work experience with Master’s degree.

Special Job Requirements (such as hours, accuracy, special equipment and/or working conditions):
Position may require overtime work during certain times of the year upon request.
Other:
Complete required supervisory training; orient, train and develop subordinates; provide appropriate coaching, guidance and supervision to subordinates; and complete annual performance evaluations.
Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification may render the position security sensitive; thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
Responsible for duties as assigned relating to internal controls including safe-guarding of department assets, reliability of department financial information, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
Any qualifications to be considered as equivalents, in lieu of stated minimums, require the prior written approval of the Assistant Vice President, Human Resources Management.
