Summary:
Function & Scope: Teach beginning through intermediate photography to small groups of 4-6 individuals in conjunction with research at the Productive Aging lab at the Center for Brain Health. As part of a long-term study of skill acquisition in older adults, will teach small groups for approximately 15 hours per week and will spend approximately 15 hours per week assisting students with project development.
Essential Functions:
Typical Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Teaching digital photography and supervising students.
- Developing plans and purchasing supplies needed for long-term photography instruction.
- Interfacing with research team and photography assistants.
- Perform student evaluations and attend project meetings with researchers.

Experience:
Required: Qualified candidates should have significant experience teaching photography to novices and should feel comfortable teaching groups of 4-6 beginning photographers the skills necessary to become intermediate photographers. Intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of various methods and techniques of digital photography.

If this is a supervisory position, the incumbent is expected to complete required supervisory training; orient, train and develop subordinates; provide appropriate coaching, guidance and supervision to subordinates; and complete annual performance evaluations.
