Summary:
Function & Scope: To provide coordination of the processing of requests for maintenance, keys, minor construction, moves, event setups, and other Facilities Management services.
Essential Functions:
Typical Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate Facilities Management work/trouble calls with campus community.
- Test/implement new upgrades for “facility management software”.
- Maintain work requests, preventative maintenance, purchasing, history, and security databases for facility management software.
- Troubleshoot computer software and hardware problems, coordinate repairs/fixes with computer help desk and bill departments for services rendered.
Marginal Functions:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supervise work control area and Physical Plant stores.
- Assign work to work control area.
- Generate monthly PM’s for equipment on campus.
Supervision:
Received: Reports directly to the Assistant Director or designee.
Given: Supervises buyer, clerk, and the Store department.
Education:
Required: Associate technical college degree, trade diploma/certification, or equivalent experience.
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in related technical field.
Experience:
Required: Two to four years Facilities Management experience. Computer experience with MS Office applications. Experience with Facility Focus, Facility Management 2-4 years software.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient oral and written communication skills.

Organizational skills and abilities and consistent accuracy of work. Efficient and excellent people and customer service skills. Typical office and Physical Plant atmosphere.
Other:
If this is a supervisory position, the incumbent is expected to complete required supervisory training; orient, train and develop subordinates; provide appropriate coaching, guidance and supervision to subordinates; and complete annual performance evaluations.
Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification may render the position security sensitive; thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215 Texas Education Code.
Responsible for duties as assigned relating to internal controls including safe-guarding of department assets, reliability of department financial information, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
Any qualifications to be considered as equivalents, in lieu of stated minimums, require the prior written approval of the Assistant Vice President, Human Resources Management.
