Summary:

Function & Scope: Install steam and chill water piping along with valves and steam traps; also hot and cold water pumps and pressure power steam pumps.

Essential Functions:

Typical Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Install all utilities and piping devices.
  • Install pressure power steam pumps.
  • Maintain existing equipment.
  • Keep records on preventative maintenance.
  • Learn building operation and controls of valves.
  • Ability to weld copper, thread steel piping, read blue prints.
  • Design and review the new system.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Received: Supervision - :  Incumbent performs standard and routine assignments independently to conclusion; unusual problems and exceptions to procedures or processes are referred to the supervisor.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Required: 5-10 yrs exp in mechanical piping. Ability to learn new HVAC systems.

If this is a supervisory position, the incumbent is expected to complete required supervisory training; orient, train and develop subordinates; provide appropriate coaching, guidance and supervision to subordinates; and complete annual performance evaluations.
