Electronic Technician III - FM

Summary:

Function & Scope: Provides advanced technical skills in the constructions, operation and maintenance of electronic systems. Responsible for the operation and repair of various electronic systems.

Essential Functions:

Typical Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develops modification for improvement of existing equipment.
  • Designs, plans, and lay outs, assigns and inspects work in construction or major repair of special electrical and mechanical apparatus.

Marginal Functions:

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervision:

Received: General from department heads.

Given Provides guidance to Electronic Technician I & II.

Education:

Required: High school graduation supplemented by approved courses in electronics.

Preferred: N/A

Experience:

Required: Four years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of modern electronic equipment.

Preferred: N/A

If this is a supervisory position, the incumbent is expected to complete required supervisory training; orient, train and develop subordinates; provide appropriate coaching, guidance and supervision to subordinates; and complete annual performance evaluations.

Responsible for duties as assigned relating to internal controls including safe-guarding of department assets, reliability of department financial information, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
