Summary:
Function & Scope: To provide technical skills in the operation and maintenance of electronics systems. Responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of the electronic systems.
Essential Functions:
Typical Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Will test equipment to specifications
- Perform repairs as necessary, and sign off work sheets when finished.
- Will be responsible for determining the fitness of equipment.
- Will inform superiors of the need for repair parts as necessary to maintain continuity of throughput. .
- Will assist superiors as needed.
- Will maintain repair and parts records.
Marginal Functions:
Performs other duties as assigned.

Received: Direct supervision from department head.

Education:
Required: High school graduation supplemented by approved courses in electronics.
Preferred: N/A
Experience:
Required: The ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, solder printed circuit and chassis connections, demonstrate a generalized trouble shooting technique function, use to best advantage oscilloscopes, meters generators and test equipment.
Preferred: Some generalized machine tool experience, the ability to manipulate unaided equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, Advanced troub1eshooting.

If this is a supervisory position, the incumbent is expected to complete required supervisory training; orient, train and develop subordinates; provide appropriate coaching, guidance and supervision to subordinates; and complete annual performance evaluations.

Responsible for duties as assigned relating to internal controls including safe-guarding of department assets, reliability of department financial information, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
