Summary:
Function & Scope: Serve as contract administrator for agreements with the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) & any third party transportation services per the contract(s) between the agencies.
Essential Functions:
Typical Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage day to day operation of the transportation office/function including budget development, DART pass distribution, usage reports, website and customer surveys.
- Recruit, supervise, and develop staff.
- Work strategically with the City of Richardson, DART and third party transportation agencies on routes, schedules, and marketing.
- Serves as public interface regarding transportation issues, including serving on committees.
Marginal Functions:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Coordinates special projects.
Supervision:
Received: Incumbent develops own ways to effectively perform a variety of duties or performs complex duties within established policy guidelines; responsible for a defined set of assignments, expected to determine and create procedures to set priorities and meet goals.
Given: Incumbent will recommend hiring, determine training needs, plan and assign work, conduct performance evaluations, initiate disciplinary action, and recommend termination.

Preferred:
Master's Degree
Experience:
Required: Transportation Services in higher education.
Preferred: Certification as a Parking Facility Manager (CPFM), Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP), or similar certification. Experience with Diebold or similar card system, PeopleSoft knowledge.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Computer/software proficiency (Suite of Microsoft Office), level of analytical complexity contract management, budgeting, marketing, web development.

OTHER: Requires ability to develop a thorough knowledge of University structure, policies, rules and procedures and of appropriate business practices and techniques.
If this is a supervisory position, the incumbent is expected to complete required supervisory training; orient, train and develop subordinates; provide appropriate coaching, guidance and supervision to subordinates; and complete annual performance evaluations.

Responsible for duties as assigned relating to internal controls including safe-guarding of department assets, reliability of department financial information, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
Any qualifications to be considered as equivalents, in lieu of stated minimums, require the prior written approval of the Assistant Vice President, Human Resources Management.
