Chancellor implements flexible hiring freeze

University of Texas System Chancellor Francisco G. Cigarroa, M.D., has announced a system wide flexible hiring freeze for non-faculty positions that is anticipated to continue through August 2010. A flexible hiring freeze means that mission-critical positions will continue to be filled as needed. As vacancies are determined to meet the mission-critical criteria, they will be posted on the UT Dallas employment web. Hiring supervisors may request exceptions to the freeze by using this memo format. Send the completed memo to the appropriate Vice President. An example of a completed request is available here.
