Making Work Pay Tax Credit Began April 1, 2009
Many UTD employees saw an increase in their take-home pay beginning with their pay checks in April. The Making Work Pay credit is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and is scheduled to continue for tax years 2009 and 2010. The Payroll & Tax Compliance team is responsible for:
- Timely and accurate payment of salaries, wages and tax withholding for all university employees
- Processing monthly & semi-monthly payrolls (see schedules)
- Preparing quarterly and year-end reports for federal and state agencies
- Compliance with federal laws regarding payments to non-resident alien (employees, students and guest lecturers)
- Authorization for Professional Services form
- Scholarship appointment forms
We also process all salary transactions, W4’s 
, direct deposits , W2’s and 1042-S form and other allowable payroll deductions.
