Engaging Students in Large Classes
Description: Engaging students within a class, especially in large-enrollment introductory courses, is a significant challenge. The University of North Texas has implemented the Next Generation Course Redesign™ Project in which interdisciplinary teams of faculty commit to a year-long project to enhance student learning outcomes.
The redesigned courses combine large-group and online instruction to provide time for the students to work in class in experiential learning projects. This presentation will introduce the course redesign project and include demonstrations of courses and assessment results by two of the redesign faculty.
Target Audience: Open to all faculty
Registration: RSVP at oee@utdallas.edu (first and last name with email address) to register for this seminar.
