What is it?
The goal of New Employee Orientation is to welcome new employees and help them become more knowledgeable about UT Dallas and its rich history. Employees will be introduced to key people within our organization and learn about policies and procedures that determine how we operate. In addition we will provide an overview of the benefits offered at UT Dallas and provide tools that employees can use to find answers as they begin their time as a member of the UT Dallas family.
When is it?
New Employee Orientation is scheduled on the first, third, and fifth Tuesday of every month. Occasionally an individual session may need to be scheduled on a different day of the week to accommodate holidays, school closings due to inclement weather, or other emergency conditions. Orientation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will run until approximately 4:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
Where is it?
New Employee Orientation is held in the Administration Building, third floor, room AD 3.104. Click to see on map
What do I need to do?
New employees should work with their departments to make sure they are registered for the class or contact Human Resources at extension 2221 or email Terry Cartwright at least one week prior to the next scheduled Orientation to make sure there is available space.
What should I bring?
Employees attending New Employee Orientation should bring the following:
- Life Insurance beneficiary information including Social Security numbers, addresses, phone numbers
- UTD ID (if available)
- Department name, mail stop and phone extension
