Business Idea Competition
Calling all innovators and entrepreneurs!
The UT Dallas Business Idea Competition is held annually and gives both undergraduate and graduate students from every school on campus the opportunity to develop and present their business ideas while competing for $20,000 in cash and scholarship prizes.
Past winners have gone on to start successful companies and to compete for additional prize money in business plan competitions around the world. Our judges, prominent members of the business community, include CEOs, entrepreneurs and investors.
Do you have the next BIG idea? Come swim with the sharks and enter the UT Dallas Business Idea Competition!
This year, the Business Idea Competition has almost doubled last year’s engagement. We kicked off the program with an information session and kick off party where 350 students attended. This year we received over 100 team applications, up from 65 last year.
On November 20th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. we are hosting our final pitch event where the top 6 teams will present to an audience of nearly 1,000 students, partners, and startup community members as well as a panel of special judges. Our judges this year include Mark Cuban, Swapnil Bora, Lea Nesbit, and Eve Mayer.
