Training Fair Invites Staffers to Unlock Their Professional Potential

The UT Dallas Trainer Alliance will present its first Professional Development Fair on Thursday, Dec. 4, in celebration of the Association of Talent Development’s Employee Learning Week. The fair, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., will be in the Founders Building second-floor atrium.

Representatives of 11 campus departments that offer training will be on hand to help you discover your learning potential. “Training is a great way to cultivate and advance your personal and professional skill set,” says Jessie Bortz, a time and absence trainer in the Payroll and Data Management office.

The Trainer Alliance invites employees to discover which of the four basic learning styles they have. There will also be games, prizes and giveaways. The fair is sponsored by Human Resources, eLearning and the Staff Council. Participants will include the offices of Audit and Compliance, Research, Information Security, the Registrar and Post-Award Management as well as eLearning, the Galerstein Women’s Center, Human Resources, Enterprise Application Services (PeopleSoft and related training), the Police Department and the University Toastmasters of Dallas.
