Day of Philanthropy Helps Drive Support for UT Dallas

North Texas Giving Day September 17 Join thousands of North Texans in making an important difference
North Texas Giving Day, an online philanthropy drive that benefits programs at UT Dallas, is scheduled to run this year from 6 a.m. to midnight on Thursday, Sept. 17.

Sponsored by the Communities Foundation of Texas, the event connects donors with nonprofits in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. Gifts of $25 or more may be eligible for supplemental bonus funds.

Employees who want to support the University will find UT Dallas, the Callier Center for Communication Disorders and the Center for BrainHealth listed as featured charities on the North Texas Giving Day website. Donors to the University also can give to any other campus program, center or school by specifying their gift designations in the “notes” section of the UT Dallas giving page.

As part of this effort, the Callier Center is continuing its Be a HEAR O! campaign. For every $1,000 raised on North Texas Giving Day, a child in need will receive two hearing aids and three years of follow-up services.

Faculty and staff members who give during North Texas Giving Day will become members of the UT Dallas Trellis Society. The society, named for the architectural hub of the University’s mall, recognizes employees who make gifts to any UT Dallas school, center or program.
