Longtime Staff Member Remembered as Loyal, Helpful Colleague

Mickey Lewis
Mickey Lewis
Mickey Lewis, whose work at UT Dallas over more than 20 years earned her staff CARE awards on two separate occasions, died Dec. 5 after an illness.

As an Administrative Services Officer II in the Office of Undergraduate Education, Lewis helped with budgets, scholarships, housing and student activities, such as the debate and chess teams.

Lewis’ colleagues and friends described her as a problem solver who wore a smile even on the worst of days. They remembered her as always willing to lend a hand, whether it was sitting down to chat with a student or helping find a quick solution to an issue. Read More
