Complete These Steps Before Hosting Kids Programs, Activities

Complete These Steps Before Hosting Kids Programs, Activities
The Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance reminds departments of steps they must take before hosting a program, activity, camp or event (PACE) for children.

  1. Departments must complete a Special Events Risk Assessment Form and submit it to [email protected] before the start of the PACE.
  2. An Online Event Registration and Request Form must be filed with the UT Dallas Police Department.
  3. Visit Resources for Camp Organizers to ensure the required participant forms are completed, as well as required facilitator forms, criminal background checks and child protection training for faculty, staff and volunteers assisting with the PACE.
  4. All PACE workers and volunteers must take a Child Protection Training Course. UT Dallas offers an eLearning course for faculty, staff and students. To register for this training, complete the Compliance Training Enrollment Form and submit to the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance at [email protected].

For more information, contact the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance at 972-883-2233 or [email protected].

Benefits Enrollment Begins July 15; Info Fair Set for July 18

During the annual benefits enrollment period — Friday, July 15, to Sunday, July 31 — you will be able to:

  • Make changes to your benefits
  • Enroll or re-enroll in UT FLEX (employees only; enrollment does not automatically renew)
  • Add or remove dependents from your coverage plan
An email containing a summary of your coverage and a link to the annual enrollment website will be sent to all benefits-eligible employees by Friday, July 15. After you receive the email, log in to MyUTBenefits and follow the on-screen instructions to make your selections. You will receive an email confirming your changes in approximately 24 hours. Enrollment must be completed before midnight on Sunday, July 31.

The UT System Office of Employee Benefits will announce any changes to the FY16-17 benefits plans in the A Matter of Health newsletter in early July. Please monitor your University email account for this information and for campus-specific details.

For assistance or more information, email the benefits services staff in the UT Dallas Office of Human Resources at [email protected]. Benefits-eligible employees also may attend a Benefits Fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, July 18, in the Student Union Galaxy Rooms (SU 2.602) to learn more.
