Microsoft Live Communication Server is a manageable instant messaging (IM) server that prvides a real-time collaboration solution.

All UTD Staff and Faculty now have access to use the new Live Communications Server.

Live Communication Server (LCS) allows secure instant messaging with other UTD faculty and staff members. All communications are encrypted for Windows Vista computers on the CAMPUS domain when using Microsoft Office Communicator 2005. Microsoft Office Communicator 2005 is the client software that is used to communicate through LCS.

NOTE: Microsoft Office Communicator 2005 is only for Microsoft Vista. You must request LCS 2005.
