How To... Request and Install Digital Certificates for Mac OS X

1. Login into https://rootdc2.utdallas.edu/certsrv, click Continue.
   
   



2. Log in with your own NetId, click Log In.
   
   



3. Select Download a CA certificate, certificate chain, or CRL.
   
   



4. Under CA certificate: select Current [ROOTDC2(3)].
   Under Encoding method: select DER.
   Select Download CA certificate
   
   



5. Confirmation that your digital certificate has been downloaded.
   
   



6. Open Macintosh HD navigate to Keychain Access (Applications | Utilities | Keychain Access)
   Run Keychain Access
   
   



7. Keychain Access window.
   
   



8. Click on File | Import Items...
   
   



9. Navigate through your Home Directory | Downloads and double click certnew.cer.
