How To... Access WebDAV


Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV) extends the HTTP/1.1 protocol to allow clients to publish, lock and manage resources on the Web. This service will allow you to access your home directory, AllShare and your departmental home directory from a remote location.

  1. Log into https://webdav.utdallas.edu/allshare, you can use either Internet Explorer or Firefox.



  2. Enter your NetID and password, click OK.



  3. This will be the first page you will see after loggin in.



  4. To navigate to your home directory, just add your home/netid after the https://webdav.utdallas.edu/ url. Make sure you use your authenticated netid.



  5. To navigate to your home departmental directory, just add your dept/department_share after the https://webdav.utdallas.edu/ url. Make sure you use your departmental share name.
