Updated: WebCT Availabilty During Campus Power Outages

Based on recent changes to campus power outage schedules:

• Sunday, June 22nd: WebCT availability should not be affected by the limited power outage.
• Sunday, June 29th, 10am - 4pm: WebCT should be up and running with generator power during the campus wide power outage. However, network availability of WebCT, especially for users on campus or in Waterview Park/University Village, may be interrupted. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

WebCT upgrade complete

The WebCT upgrade was completed successfully. WebCT is available again.

WebCT Upgrade May 18

WebCT will be unavailable between 6:00AM and noon on Sunday, May 18th, while the WebCT software is upgraded. The WebCT software will be upgraded from CE 6.2.2 to CE 6.3.0, which has been renamed as CE 8.0 to achieve product line synchronicity. This version is primarily a bug-fix version, and introduces few new features.

Major known issues addressed by the upgrade:
* New item notification will be re-enabled
* Sections with group sign-up sheets can be copied
* Student view tab issues have been resolved
* Issue with due dates occurring on the new Daylight Saving Time change dates has been resolved

WebCT Upgrade- Known Issues page updated!

The upgrade was completed successfully. We have discovered some functionality changes after the upgrade. They have been documented along with workarounds on the Known Issues page. We will update this page as we have more information about these issues.

Possible WebCT Service Disruption

One of the WebCT web servers became unresponsive at approximately 9:43am today, 4-22-08. Users may have experienced service disruptions as they were being transferred to the other WebCT web servers. The problem web server was restarted and the entire WebCT service was functional by 10:30am. More Information...

March WebCT Maintenance Completed

All planned maintenance was successfully completed as scheduled.

WebCT Maintenance Planned for March 2 and 9 During Regular Maintenance Window

WebCT will not be available on Sunday, March 2, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM CST. A second network route to the current WebCT database will be added. The current route will be maintained in a secondary status for redundancy purposes.

WebCT Quick Guides Updated!

Updated WebCT Quick Guides are now available on the Instructors tab! The Quick Guides are basic instructions for performing many of the common tasks instructors perform in WebCT, including adding TAs, Designers, and Auditors to your classes.

Student Guide Updated

The Student Guide for WebCT has been updated. The new version is available on the Students tab.
