Known IssuesThe eLearning team has discovered with the help of our user community a few significant issues that affect the current version of WebCT, CE 6.2.2. The following issues have been confirmed by WebCT Support, and are scheduled to be addressed in an upcoming release.
Course Copy with Group Sign Up SheetsThis issue prevents the copying of sections containing Group Sign Up Sheets. This bug prevents both the direct copy of a section, and the creation of a template from the sections. Currently, the only workaround is to delete the Sign Up Sheets from the source section, copy the section, and then recreate the Sign Up Sheets in the copied section. Please contact the eLearning team if you need assistance with this process. Student View tab issuesThere is a group of issues affecting the Student View tab. These issues only affect the Student View tab, not actual student accounts. These issues only occur while the section is unavailable to students, before the first day of class.
Daylight Saving Time changeThis issue causes the start and end dates of assessments and the due and cutoff dates of assignments to count forward one hour each time a Section Designer adjusts any settings in that assessment or assignment. This issue only affects assessments and assignments that have a start, end, due date or cutoff date of Sunday, 9 March 2008 (the day Daylight Saving time takes affect). For instance, if the assessment (or assignment) is set to end at 8:03 PM and the Section Designer makes any adjustments resulting in pressing the save button, the new end time for the assessment will roll forward to 9:03 PM. My Courses page load timeWe have observed performance issues in the load time for the My Courses page, which could cause the page to not load for users with a very high number of enrollments (150+). In order to alleviate this issue, the New Tool icons on the My Courses page (the small icons below the course title that indicate the presence of new content) are currently disabled. Office Files Do Not Open in Internet Explorer 7This issue occurs if Office 2007 and Internet Explorer 7 are installed on your machine, and you are using Internet Explorer 7 to access files in WebCT courses. When you attempt to open any Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or Access file, you will be kicked out of the course and taken back to the My Courses page. This issue is scheduled to be addressed in a future release of WebCT. We have discovered two work arounds for this issue:
