Attention Galaxy Users

A recent system upgrade requires some users to clear the cache on their browsers for Galaxy to load properly.

Today, browsers cache different types of data in different places, and offer users the option to clear infomration acquired over a specific timeframe. For this reason, it is highly recommended that you completely clear all cache folders of all data.

Follow these steps to completely clear your cache in Internet Explorer (instructions for other browsers can be found below, but the steps are essentially the same for all browsers).

  1. On the Menu Bar, click Tools.

  2. On the Tools Menu, click Internet Options.

  3. Click Delete under the Browsing History heading.

  4. With the exception of the first option (Preserve Favorites website data), make sure you select all the types of data cached.

  5. Click the Delete Button.

  6. Once the process completes, close your browser.

  7. Restart your browser.

  8. Visit www.utdallas.edu/galaxy and click the Login Galaxy button to login to the Galaxy portal.

Note: This is an important step, because any bookmarks you might have created may contain extra information that is no longer valid. This results in errors that can easily be avoided.
