Configure Mac Mail with UTD Exchange 2010

First we will create a new mail account in Mac Mail, enter in your Full name, your netid@utdallas.edu Email address, and your Net ID password then select Continue.

Mac Mail should automatically configure the account with settings for an Exchange 2007 server which should work with the UTD Exchange 2010 server.  You can also select setup Address Book contacts and setup your Exchange calendar to be accessible in iCal.  Select Create to finish the account set up, you should now be able to access your Exchange mail in Mac Mail and your Exchange calendars in iCal.

If Mac Mail does not automatically configure your mail account we can manually setup the mail account with the following instructions.

After entering in your Full Name, netid@utdallas.edu email address, and your Net ID password select Continue.

For Account Type select “Exchange 2007” for Description enter whatever your preference is.  The Incoming Mail Server will be “webmail.utdallas.edu”, User Name and Password will be your net id and password. You can also select setup Address Book contacts, and setup your Exchange calendar to be accessible in iCal select Continue.

At the Account Summary window you can review your settings for the mail account and select Create to finish the setup.
