These are the instructions for accessing UTD bulletin boards through Outlook..
1.
Click on Start and select Control Panel

Click on the Mail icon

Select E-mail Accounts

Under E-mail Accounts, click on New

Choose Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click Next

Choose Internet E-mail and click Next

Fill in the appropriate settings as seen below with your Name, NetID, and password.
Type in inbox.utdallas.edu as the Incoming mail server and smtpauth.utdallas.edu as the Outgoing mail server (SMTP).
Under Logon Information, click the checkbox for Remember password and Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA). After you have done so, click on the More Settings button.

Click on the General tab and type in a name for your Cyrus mail account.
Then click on the Outgoing Server tab and click on the checkbox for My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Finally, under the Advanced tab, change the Incoming server encryption type to SSL.
The port number will update to 993. Change the Outgoing server encryption type to TLS, and change the port number from 25 to 587, and click OK

Select Next at the Add New Account window, and click Finish to complete the setup of your Cyrus account.

In Outlook, expand your Cyrus account and right-click on Inbox and select IMAP Folders

In the Display folders field, type in the name of the shared folder/bulletin board you need access to and click Query

Select the appropriate folder and click Subscribe, and click OK

13.
You can now access your shared folders/bulletin board by expanding your Cyrus account, and then expanding the Shared_Folders folder and clicking on your folder’s name.
If you do not see it, click on the folder icon at the bottom left side of the window underneath Tasks
