Set up IMAP UTD email on iPhone and iPhone 3G

  1. Go to Home Screen and click tap on the Settings icon… as shown below

  2. Tap on the Mail, Contacts, Calendars settings tab… as shown below

  3. Tap on the Add Account… settings tab… as shown below

  5. Insert your email address, username and password then tap on the Next button… as shown below
    Note: email address is your UTD email address. Username and password are the credentials used to log into the Galaxy page, or into the UTD email page.

  6. The page should refresh. Double check that the First Last name matches and that the email address matches with yours…as shown below

  7. Scroll down the page and in the Incoming Mail Server section input the inbox.utdallas.edu , your netid and password…as shown below.

  8. Scroll down the page and in the Outgoing Mail Server section input the inbox.utdallas.edu , your netid and password then press Save…as shown below.

  9. The phone will double-check your settings. If you get message below, tap on continue and wait for a little while

If the netid, password, name and server settings are correct, the account should now be added to the phone.
Now you can always check your UTD email on your phone by selecting the Mail icon from the Home Screen!
Note: You can set up the phone to automatically check your email every few minutes or manually whenever the Mail application is used. That setting is found in Settings -> Fetch New Data menu of the phone.
