Check the software version on an iPhone and iPhone 3G

 

  1. iPhone software must be at least version 2 to support certain features, such as UTD exchange email. To verify your software version, go to the Home Screen and click tap on the Settings icon… as shown below

2. Tap on the General settings tab… as shown below

3. Tap on the About tab… as shown below

4. Make sure that the Version tab shows a number greater than or equal to 2.0… as shown below

    • Note: If the version number is lower than 2.0, the iPhone needs to be connected to a computer and updated through iTunes. If that does not work, please contact Apple or your phone service provider for assistance.
