How To Map Network Drives on a Mac

 


Login to VPN at https://utdvpn.utdallas.edu

In Finder, Command+K will open the "Connect to Server" dialog box

[Command = Apple Key]

Enter smb://(server address) and click connect.

Example: smb://olympus.utdallas.edu/netid

Enter your Net ID and password

You should have access to your folders.

You can Disconnect by clicking the Olympus Connection under the Shared menu on the left when you are through.

The following instructions are for mapping your staff directory network drive in Mac OSX.

1. In Finder you can select Go > Connect to Server. You may also type Command (apple key) + K to bring up the Connect to Server dialog box.

2. In the Connect to Server dialog box type in smb://utdfp14.utdallas.edu/ users$/YourNetID then select Connect.

3. You will be prompted to enter in a User name and Password.  Select Registered User then enter in your NetID and NetID password, then select Connect.

4. You should now have access to your staff directory network drive.
