How To Reset Your Password

The following tutorial will teach you how to reset your password that is associated with your UTD NetID. 

1. Go to https://netid.utdallas.edu/

2. Click on Forgot NetID Password. This allows you to change your password even if it’s expired by entering your NetID and Security Questions

 

3. Enter your NetID into the NetID field and click OK

 

4. Enter your security questions and your new Password twice.

Note: The Password must have at least one special character (such as: !,  @,  _ ,  ?,  etc.), one number, one capital letter, one lower case letter, and must be 8-20 characters long.

You cannot reuse a password that you have used in the past.

 

5. After you have changed it close the window and log out of any other UTD pages. It will take 15 minutes for your new password to work.
