How To Use Remote DesktopRemote Desktop AccessStep 1) You must first connect to the VPN (Virtual Private Network). Instructions on doing this can be found HERE Step 2) You can use Remote Desktop (as with the old VPN) by going to Start> All Programs> Accessories> Remote Desktop Connection (Note: in some computers you will find remote desktop in Start> All Programs> Accessories> Communications> Remote Desktop Connection) Step 3) Once you have opened Remote Desktop Connection, enter the full computer name. In the example UTD12345 would be your computer name followed by .campus.ad.utdallas.edu, click Connect. You will once again be asked for your NetID and password this should connect you to the selected computer.
Step 4) When your are finished you can sign out by using the same method as can be found on the last section of this page HERE.
