With
Heat Self Service, you can accomplish the following without requesting service directly from Help Desk personnel:
- View your ticket history
- View notes and journals regarding ticket
- Check an issue ticket by Call ID Number
- Submit a new issue
- Lookup your support desk contact information
To login to Heat Self Service, follow these simple instructions:
- Visit Heat Self Service's homepage at https://hss.utdallas.edu.
- You will be prompted by a pop-up to enter in your user name and password. For the user name, enter Campus\NetID, where NetID is your university NetID. Next, enter in your password in the Password field. Click OK to proceed.
- For directions on how to create a new ticket or view an existing ticket, click on their respective links.

To submit a new issue, follow these instructions:
- Select the New Issue button on the Web page.
- Type or select your information for each active field. It is very important that you ensure that every blank field is filled with the required information, especially the contact information fields. This helps us effectively address your particular issue in a timely manner. Once you have completely filled in the fields, click Submit to create a new ticket. You will receive an auto-confirmation of that issue via your e-mail.

The following are two methods that can be used to view an existing ticket:
- If you have been provided with a call number from the Help Desk, you can search for your ticket using the Reference ID lookup. Simply enter your call number into the search field and click Lookup Issue to locate and view your existing ticket.
- Additionally, you can view a complete list of issues you have reported in the past on the Home page. You may view more details about an issue by clicking on the underlined text in the first column.
