How To Update Your Wireless Settings for the Waterview Network

WATERVIEW Settings Change

On June 25th 2009, there will be a global change to the WATERVIEW wireless network that will affect every user. Waterview is updating their equipment and as of right now, the certificate has been changed. In order to still use the Waterview Wireless Network, the following settings have to be done:

Wireless Update

WINDOWS XP

Click on Start menu, then select Control Panel

Control Panel is under the Start Menu

Click on Network Networks and Internet Connections

Select Network Connections

Network Connections

Right click on the wireless adapter, then click on Properties

More Network Connections

Click on the Wireless Networks tab

Select the WATERVIEW network, then click on Properties

Click on the Authentication tab, then click on Properties

In the Trusted Root Certification Authorities list, check the box next to Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority then click on OK and you are all set.

WINDOWS VISTA

Select Start and Control Panel

Start Menu

 

Once in Control Panel select Network and Sharing Center

In Network and Sharing Center select Manage wireless networks

Right click on the Waterview wireless profile and select Properties

Select the Security tab and click the Settings button

When the Protected EAP Properties window is displayed check Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority
