Set up Microsoft Exchange Email on iOS

 

  1. Go to Home Screen and click tap on the Settings icon…

  2. Tap on the Mail, Contacts, Calendars settings tab…

  3. Tap on the Add Account… settings tab…

  4. Tap on the Microsoft Exchange tab…

  5. Insert your email address, place campus in the domain and enter your net id username and password then tap on the Next button…
    6. Note: email address is your UTD email address. Username and password are the credentials used to log into the Galaxy page, or into the UTD email page.

  6. The page should refresh and ask for a server. Insert webmail.utdallas.edu then tap on the Next button….

  7. It will ask you what you would like to synchronize with the phone. Make sure that Mail is selected as ON. The other options are at the user’s choice. Tap on Save and you are done.

  8. Now you can always check your UTD Exchange email on your phone by selecting the Mail icon from the Home Screen.

Set up Microsoft Exchange Email on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)

Note: These instructions should work with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) as well.
  1. Go to Menu > Mail> > Menu > Add New Account. Choose Microsoft Exchange Active Sync.

  2. Choose Manual Setup.
    Note: For Jelly Bean, you may need to type in an email address and password before this option can be selected.

  3. Fill out the following information on the next page. Be sure to use your NetID and not your PEA as this will not work correctly.
    • Email address: netid@webmail.utdallas.edu
    • Server address: webmail.utdallas.edu
    • Domain: campus
    • Username: netid
    • Password: your password
    • Check the circle and then click Next when done.

  4. The following page will now come up. Please make sure that you have selected your Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Tasks to synchronize. Select Push Mail to receive mail as soon as it arrives. Select Next.

  5. You will now be asked to name your account. You may choose whatever you like. Once done, select Finish Setup.
    Note: It may take up to 5-10 minutes for all of your emails to show up on your phone as it will be syncing up with the Exchange server during this time.
