Guest Account Information

If access to UTD resources is required, two different guest ID types are available:

1. Guest of a full time staff or faculty member.
   • Valid up to 7 days.
   • Used to log into the CometNet2 wireless network.
   • Allows full wireless connection but not access to computers or other resources
   • This ID may be requested by staff or faculty at the Information Resources Guest Wireless Account Tool.
2. Long term guests.
   • Valid for extended periods.
   • This ID is designed for university affiliates, contractors, visiting scholars, etc.
   • Allows full access to campus resources such as email, computers, etc.
   • The forms needed to request this ID are located at the Information Security website.
