Update Cell Phone Number

To add or change your cell phone number listing as recorded in the University record system, select one of the options below:

Students – Update Cell Phone Number

In order to update your personal information on the Orion System, you must first access the Student Center.

From here you need to access Phone Numbers tab of the Personal Information page.

  1. Select Home Phone.
    Student Center
  2. The Phone Numbers tab of the Demographic Information page is displayed.

  3. Click Add A Phone Number.

  4. A new row is added to the Phone Numbers table.

  5. Click the Drop-Down arrow in the Phone Type field.

  6. A list of Phone Types is displayed.

  7. Complete the following:
    • Select Cellular in the drop-down list.
    • Enter your cellular phone number in the Telephone field.
    • Click the Save button.

  8. A message confirms that changes to your Phone Numbers table have been saved.

Faculty/Staff – Update Cell Phone Number

  1. Access the Galaxy web site.
  2. Select the Personal Information link in the Staff Tools or Faculty Tools menu list, which should be at the bottom of the middle column of the Home page.

  3. Select the Phone Numbers link.

  4. To add a phone number, click the Add Phone Number Button below the Phone Numbers table.

  5. A new, empty row is added to the Phone Numbers table.

  6. Click the Down Arrow on the right of the Drop-Down list of Phone Types.
  7. Select the appropriate Phone Type from the Drop-Down list.

    Note: To add a cellular phone number, select Mobile.
  8. Enter your cellular phone number in the Telephone field and click Save.
  9. Save Changes
    Note: When you tab to the next field, the number is automatically formatted ###/###-####.
  10. A message confirms that your change(s) have been saved.
