Use Infoserv

This is the server you need to use if you wish to retrieve files from your home directory when you are not enrolled in classes.
- Create an SSH connection to the Infoserv server. To establish an SSH connection, see How To Create an SSH Connection.

- If this is your first time trying to connect to Infoserv, you will be prompted accept the server key. Click Yes to continue.

- Login using your Netid and password. As you type in your password, you will not see an characters appear. Simply type it in and press Enter to proceed.

- From the main menu, select the File Transfer option. Press Enter to continue.

- From the File Transfer menu, select the Enable FTP option. Press Enter to continue.
Note: Once you click Enable FTP, you will have a 30 minute time limit to use the feature. If you plan on using the server longer than that, you will need to go through the previous steps in order to enable a new ftp connection once your time runs out.
- At this point, you can close the SSH connection or press Enter to return to the main menu.

- Create an SFTP connection to the Infoserv server. To establish an SFTP connection, see How To Use SFTP .

- If this is your first time trying to connect to Infoserv, you will be prompted accept the server key. Click Yes to continue.

- You have now established an SFTP connection with the Infoserv server. You may now proceed to transfer files to and from your home directory.
