To get started, choose your operating system from the options above.

Microsoft Windows

Note: These instructions were created with screenshots from Windows 7. The process is very similar for computers running Windows XP, Vista, or 8. IF you have any problems please contact the Help Desk for assistance.

Step 1

  • Click the Wireless Icon located at bottom-right corner of the screen.

Step 2

  • Select UTDGuest and then press Connect.

Step 3

  • Open your preferred web browser and you will be forced to a “Terms of Use” page.
  • Check the box to agree to the terms of use.
  • Enter your email address.
  • Select your reason for visiting.
  • Click Continue.
Note: You will now be able to browse freely using the UTDGuest wireless network, however, this process must be repeated each time you connect to UTDGuest.
If you will be using the campus wireless network for an extended period of time, we strongly recommend using our primary wireless network CometNet.
If you are a guest at the univeristy, you may request a guest account to use CometNet.

Apple OSX

Note: These instructions were created with screenshots from OS 10.9. The process should be identical in all previous iterations of OS X (OS 10.1 — 10.9). IF you have any problems please contact the Help Desk for assistance.

Step 1

  • Click the Wireless Icon located at upper-right corner of the screen.

Step 2

  • Select UTDGuest.

Step 3

  • Once connected, a window should automatically open to the UTDGuest Terms of Use page.
  • Check the box to agree to the terms of use.
  • Enter your email address.
  • Select your reason for visiting.
  • Click Continue.
Note: You will now be able to browse freely using the UTDGuest wireless network, however, this process must be repeated each time you connect to UTDGuest.
