Zmail to Exchange Email Migration for Faculty/Staff

Since our announcement of the Office 365 email upgrade in November, we are pleased to report that the migration of student Zmail accounts to Office 365 is almost complete. More than 42,000 student accounts have been created in Office 365, and the transition has been very smooth overall.
In the coming weeks, after graduation, we will begin the migration of faculty/staff Zmail accounts to the Exchange email server. This is a change from the original plan, in that we will NOT be migrating any faculty/staff email accounts to Office 365. Given further review, it has been determined that there are cost efficiencies in maintaining the on-premise Exchange email servers for faculty and staff, in conjunction with Office 365 for students.
There are approximately 350 faculty and staff with Zmail accounts, who will be individually contacted to begin preparations for the move to Exchange. Information Resources staff will be working with departmental technical support staff to make the process as smooth as possible. We expect to complete these moves by the end of June.
