Mathematica License Explanation

The site license currently provides access to Mathematica, Network Mathematica, webMathematica Amateur and Wolfram Workbench. Network licenses are avaiable for use on UTD owned computers on the UTD network. For non-networked (or sometimes networked - a laptop perhaps) UTD owned systems, there is a local machine license.

Standalone licensed systems will need to have their license codes updated yearly. Network licensed systems do not need to worry, as IR will renew the license on the license server yearly.

To have Mathematica installed on a UTD owned system, contact your departmental computer tech or the Helpdesk.

Academic staff (including Ph.D/TA/RA) may request a home use license for personal systems from Wolfram directly. Other students must purchase a student version from the UTD Techstore for $30.
