7 easy steps to get access to the Texas Advance Computing Center

Texas Advance Computing Center (TACC) allocations are now available (at no cost) to UT-System faculty, and how to request an initial TACC allocation.

Prepare an outline of your research project, which includes a title and abstract. This information will be used by the allocations reviewing committee to determine your allocation award. You will also be asked to list any supporting grants you have received for your research.

  1. Point your browser to http://www.tacc.utexas.edu/.

  2. Click on "New Users" near the upper-left-hand corner.

  3. Read the directions and figure out what resources you wish to apply for.

  4. Browse to https://portal.tacc.utexas.edu/portal.html and click on "Create Portal Login".

  5. Create your username and password.

  6. Click on "Yes, please take me to the allocation request page after logging in" and follow directions.
