Digital Certificates: How to Apply For Or Renew A Server Certificate
To request a digital certificate for a UT Dallas server, generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) on the server that you're requesting the cert for, then go to the following web link and complete the online application. When generating the CSR, the Organization is The University of Texas System and the Organizational Unit is The University of Texas at Dallas CA. They must be typed in just as they are shown here, or the cert request will be rejected.
Apply for Server Certificate Up to 4 years.
Upon completing the application please send the following information to infosecurity@utdallas.edu. One of the Information Security Officers will send a signed email to UT System requesting that the certificate be issued.
Please include the following in your message:
- Name and Position
- U.T. Campus and Department
- Server's Fully-Qualified Domain Name
- Is the certificate new or being renewed?
- Is requested certificate to be valid for one year or two years?
