Zimbra Zmail, an open source email and collaboration tool, is now available to students, staff and faculty.

Zimbra is part of the Information Resources effort to support the university’s mission of becoming a tier-one university and first-rank research and education center.

The Zimbra Collaboration Suite:

  • Supports IMAP/POP, Outlook (MAPI), iSync, iCal, CalDAV, RSS
  • Easily integrates 3rd party applications and web services
  • Simplifies administration and reduces total cost of ownership

The primary focus of the Zimbra rollout is Zmail, the email web client. However, the collaboration features are robust and may prove very popular. For more information about Zimbra feel free to visit their web site.
